Give back to the Sandy River.
On November 28th, 2017 the Sandy River Basin Watershed Council is proud to participate in #GivingTuesday. This global day of giving invites individuals to celebrate the holiday season by giving back and creating change in their communities and the world. Together, we CAN make a difference.
The Sandy River Basin Watershed Council works together with local communities (you!) to restore the natural, cultural and historic resources of the Sandy River, from #Timberline to #Troutdale. Your donations help us put more native trees in the ground, place more large wood for salmon habitat, and engage more people in and around the Sandy River basin.
We’re proud of many achievements over the past 12 months. Here’s a quick look at what we’ve been up to this year: In 2017 we’ve engaged nearly 3,000 volunteers at over 50 events big and small! Generous volunteers of all ages planted thousands of native trees and shrubs throughout the basin and picked up nearly 2 TONS of trash. We also recently released a 10 year review of the State of the Sandy since Marmot Dam removal in 2007.
Your support on #GivingTuesday – and every day – allows us to fulfill our mission.
