SRWC Closing its Doors

2016-07-31 16.31.37
Dear Partners and Volunteers,
The Board of the Sandy River Watershed Council (SRWC) is sad to announce the dissolution of the SRWC, effective immediately. Unfortunately, 2020 and 2021 were challenging years for the SRWC. Staffing losses, operation under limited funds, and the restricted conditions associated with the pandemic lead to financial difficulty. Consequently, it became increasingly difficult for the SRWC to fulfill all its obligations. After extensive review and consideration, the Board voted unanimously to dissolve the organization.
We thank all of our partners and volunteers that we have interacted and worked with over the years. The SRWC has played a critical role for many years in successfully bringing diverse partners together to protect the resources of the Sandy River watershed. We would also like to recognize all the volunteers who contributed their time and effort to help us make a significant difference to the watershed. Over sixteen thousand of you have volunteered with us since 2017.
We hope the SRWC leaves the Sandy River watershed in a better place for having been here.
Sincerely,
The Sandy River Watershed Council
