The SRWC’s programs, services, employment opportunities, and volunteer positions and contracts are open to all persons without regard to race, religion, color, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, age, marital status, handicap, political affiliation, or other protected class.
Following is an overview of the project:
Mt. Hood Community College became Salmon Safe certified in 2016 in an effort to protect sensitive species in Beaver Creek, which flows through campus. With 57 acres of impervious surface, the campus is a storm water hot spot in Gresham, contributing to pre-spawn mortality of salmon in Beaver Creek. With the support of partners Sandy River Watershed Council and partner/funders, including East Multnomah Soil and Water Conservation District and the City of Gresham, MHCC has installed new stormwater facilities every year since 2018 to reduce this impact. Thousands of community members have been engaged in the process including removing asphalt and planting rain gardens. We welcome your bid to be part of this ongoing transformation.
Many thanks for your time and interest. Please let me know if you have any questions.
Sincerely,
—
